Hyper-Performance Motorsports remains active in automobile racing! With a long history of support and direct experience with many forms of competition including: drag racing, dirt and asphalt oval racing, auto-crossing, and road racing, we continue to promote and benefit directly from this involvement.

Hyper-Performance is proud to be the primary sponsor of the #46 American Iron NASA (National Automobile Sport Association) Cobra Mustang owned and driven by David Diehl. You'll find us enjoying the close door-to door, ground-pounding, heart stopping racing at tracks in the Great Lakes and Mid-West regions. The American Iron series features the V8 muscle cars like the Mustang and Camaro in extremely competitive conditions driven by a class maximum 9-1/5 pounds of weight to be carried for every horsepower or 9 pounds of weight for every ft.-lb. of torque. All of this on Spec. shaved Toyo tires - you are in for quite a show! Racing in rain or shine, look for us at our favorite tracks like Mid-Ohio in Lexington, OH, Putnam Park west of Indianapolis, IN, Gingerman Raceway near South Haven, MI.
The Car:

1995 Mustang Cobra "R" - 351W V8 modified
Maximum Motorsports custom suspension
Fully race prepped including full roll cage, fire suppression, and many more safety features.

This car has an exciting heritage being raced in the Motorola GT Cup Series with Jason Priestley as pilot. It is the only remaining car from the "Triple Threat" team of Multimatic Motorsports.

The car has had some modifications to allow it to better compete, but the body and paint scheme remain basically the same. From 2010 you'll find some changes to the nose to give it a bit different look, and you'll be seeing the "Whiz Kids" logo proudly carried on the quarter panels.
"Racing to Make a Difference"

The race car allows us to give back to our community! We realize that racing is expensive, but rather than selfishly accepting sponsorship money, we would rather turn the effort to helping those around us. We we are aligned to support and promote the City Gospel Mission Whiz Kids tutoring and mentoring program, a literacy based initiative that impacts at-risk youth. Not only will we be carrying the Whiz Kids logo but will be distributing information and taking collections at the tracks.

We will also be visiting various events with the car to allow kids and adults alike to have the opportunity to learn more about racing, teamwork, safety, training, and the importance of learning and school. If you would like to have the car and driver at one of your events, please give us a call to schedule!
